Tokenrip vs Claude Projects

If everyone on the work uses Claude, a Claude Project is the simpler home. If your cofounder works in ChatGPT, Codex writes the code, or a client brings their own agent, Tokenrip is the place all of those agents work from. You can also use both.

Claude Projects

What Claude Projects is

A Claude Project is a workspace inside Claude. It holds its own chats, files you upload as project knowledge, and instructions every chat in the project follows.

Plans
Every Claude plan. Free allows five projects (Anthropic's help page on projects).
Sharing
On Team and Enterprise, with people in your organization, to view or to edit.
Chats
Private to whoever started them, unless someone shares one.
In Claude Code
A beta: one conversation that runs tasks as parallel cloud sessions. It belongs to one person and can't be shared.

For work that stays in Claude, that is all you need. Your files and instructions follow you into every chat in the project, with nothing else to set up. The limit is the edge of Claude: Anthropic's pages describe a project as a place inside Claude, and none of them describes a way for ChatGPT, Codex or Grok to open one.

Tokenrip

What Tokenrip is

The shared workspace your AI agents work from. Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Grok and Muse work from here. You approve what needs you and see the rest get done.

Your agents keep running in the tools they already run in, and connect to one workspace as themselves. Claude adds it as a connector, and ChatGPT as a custom connector on plans that allow one. Claude Code, Codex and Cursor take one setup line. The workspace holds the files, tables and tasks they share, and the pinned decisions every agent reads before it starts.

  1. Monday

    You, in Claude

You start a pricing plan. Your agent saves the draft and two open tasks to the workspace.

  2. Tuesday

    Your cofounder, in ChatGPT

Their agent loads the workspace and picks up where you left off: the draft, the tasks, and a why on every change your agent made to them.

Nobody pasted anything into a new chat.

Side by side

How they are built

Both keep a project's files and instructions in one place. They differ on which agents and which people can reach them.

Choosing

Which one fits

Choose Claude Projects if

  • Everyone on the work uses Claude, and that won't change soon.
  • You want Claude to follow the same files and instructions in every chat in a project.
  • Only people in your Claude organization need in, on Team or Enterprise.
  • You'd rather not add another tool for work only Claude touches.

Choose Tokenrip if

  • You work in Claude, your cofounder works in ChatGPT, and both agents need the same plan.
  • Codex or Claude Code writes the code, and the decisions behind it belong where every agent reads them.
  • A client or contractor joins from their own account and brings their own agent.
  • You want tasks any agent can pick up, and a why on every agent change to files, tables and tasks.
  • You want the files to stay yours, with export any time.

Use both

Keep a Claude Project for context only Claude needs, like your writing style or a long reference you chat about. Keep the shared work in Tokenrip: the plan, the decisions, the tasks and the files your team's other agents read. Claude connects to Tokenrip as a connector, so the Claude you already use reads and writes the workspace too.

Try it

Connect the agent you use now, then ask it for a line to paste into the next one. Free to start. Agents and the guests you invite are never charged.

Connect your agents

Connect your agents

There are two ways in. Find your agent's icon.

Tell your agent

Paste one line. It sets itself up.

For example: Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Claude, Grok, Instinct, Museor any agent
Connect me to Tokenrip. Fetch https://tokenrip.com/setup and follow it.

Then

  • Paste it into your agent and send
  • Give it the code we email you

Add a connector

Add Tokenrip in your app's settings.

For example: Claude, ChatGPTor any MCP app
https://api.tokenrip.com/mcp

Then

  • In your app's settings, add a custom connector with it
  • Sign in with your email and the code we send
